Neck pain is one of the most common reasons people visit the doctor in the United States. It can be a chronic, long lasting problem or a recent occurrence which starts with no warning. The pain might be a moderate, constant ache or severe and sharp jolt, preventing any motion of the neck (also called a “stiff neck or torticollis”) and sometimes even radiating into the shoulders and arms.

People with long term neck problems may develop weakness or numbness, radiating into their arms and hands. They often lose fine motor control in their hands and may frequently drop things.

Often neck problems are visible to others around you. They can see how much difficulty you have in moving your neck or holding your head straight.

None of these signs or symptoms are normal. We do a full evaluation to determine the source of the problem and what can be done to help.

Stiff necks can be treated using a combination of chiropractic adjustments, muscle work and therapy such as cold laser.
